CrossFit in Indy


I have NEVER done CrossFit in my life before. I've always followed a scheduling of pure lifting with some cardio sprinkled in so I was pumped and scared all at the same time! It may seem quite intimidating at the beginning but once I started to get the hang of things it was an awesome challenge. I went into District 135 Fitness near Christmas and they were running a high intensity workout for the holidays that included doing multiple reps with each movement- long story short: Do all the movements with all the reps for 30 minutes straight and then pass out at the end :) I chose a lighter bar my movements and lighter weights for deadlifts since this was all a high rep workout. The point of this is to keep your heart rate up at all times, resting only when you have to. The team at District 135 Fitness is super friendly, very knowledgable and ready to interact you in any way. After their instruction I felt comfortable at performing the movements not only with the correct body form, but with confidence.
