Pure Barre REFORM

I think most of you of follow me have a sense of what Pure Barre is. A lot of lifting, tucking and focusing on your core while keeping your body steady throughout all of the movements. Pure Barre has three different types of classes: Classic, Empower and Reform. I've mainly shown you Classic (which is there "normal" Pure Barre class) Along with Empower (think Classic and cardio put together) but we haven't really dived into Reform. A few months ago I signed up for a class, not realizing it wasn't Classic LOL. I signed up for a Reform class and honestly I was a bit nervous. After the instructor helped me a lot during class with my form, I fell in love with it! Pure Barre Reform is like Pure Barre on steroids! Ha! It uses the techniques of Pilates combined with Pure Barre movements and it's definitely a different kind of challenge.

Pure Barre Reform is a total body workout that uses resistance-based training to target all major muscle groups. Their 50-minute Reform class marries the Classic class technique with strength, coordination and balance movements using resistance bands, sliders and the barre. What I love about this is that you can control your resistance! If you want to ease your way into the class, then move closer to the barre and the resistance bands. Feel like challenging yourself? Then do the opposite! I never thought that using your own body weight could make such a difference in a workout but it really does. You don't always have lift heavy weights in order to see the results that you want and that says a lot about me considering I've been lifting for the last 3 years!
